Privacy Policy
Supperpot is a recipe app for one-pot meals. It has no accounts and never asks you to sign in. This page explains, in plain words, what the app does with data.
The short version. Your recipes, plan, list and notes stay on your phone. When you ask for a new recipe or scan a photo, that request goes to our server and on to an AI model, tied only to a random number, and the photo is thrown away straight after. Nothing is sold, nothing is used for advertising, and nothing identifies you.
What stays on your phone
Your kitchen setup (cookware, household size, diet, priorities), saved recipes, weekly plan, grocery list, notes, ratings, cooking history and the basics you tick are stored only on your device. We do not upload them and cannot see them. Deleting the app deletes them. You can also clear them any time in Settings, "Clear all my data".
Writing a new recipe
When you ask for a new recipe, the app sends your chosen filters (cookware, time, protein, diet tags, servings, priorities) and, if you typed one, the list of what you have, to our server, which asks an AI model (Anthropic's Claude) to write the recipe. No name, email, phone number, location or advertising identifier is sent.
The server stores a random identifier created by the app on first launch, the date, and how many recipes you have made that day, so it can apply the daily allowance. That identifier is not linked to you, your Apple ID or your device's own identifiers, and we cannot use it to find out who you are.
Snap my groceries
If you take a photo or choose one, the picture is sent to the same server and passed to the AI model, which lists the food it can see. The photo is processed and then discarded. It is not stored on our server, not shown to anyone, and not used to train any model. Camera and photo access are only used when you tap the button.
Recipe illustrations
New recipes get an illustration generated from the recipe text by an image model (OpenAI's GPT Image, reached through fal.ai). Only the recipe's title and its ingredient names are sent.
Supperpot Plus
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. We receive from Apple only whether a subscription is active and when it expires. We never see your name, your payment details or your Apple ID. Manage or cancel a subscription in your iPhone settings.
Notifications
The daily pick reminder and the cooking timers are local notifications scheduled on your device. Nothing is sent to a server and no push service is used.
Analytics and advertising
Supperpot contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK and no tracking of any kind. It keeps simple anonymous counts of feature use on your device only, which never leave the phone. Our server keeps ordinary request logs containing the random identifier and a timestamp, for reliability and to stop abuse; they are deleted within 30 days.
Children
Supperpot is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal data from anyone.
Your choices
- The 100-recipe library, cook mode, the planner and the grocery list work with no network at all.
- Turning off camera or photo access in iOS Settings disables Snap my groceries and nothing else.
- "Clear all my data" in Settings erases everything the app has stored on your phone.
- To have the server forget your device's usage record, email us and say so; there is nothing in it that identifies you, but we will delete it.
